My career in the financial industry has been shaped by personal experiences that have given me a unique perspective on financial matters. Working alongside my father in his recycling business taught me the intricacies of entrepreneurship, including its benefits, opportunities, and challenges. As a single mother raising two daughters, I learned firsthand the importance of financial independence. Now, in a marriage with many more children and grandchildren, I understand the necessity of planning for life's uncertainties with flexibility and foresight.
Throughout my career, I have been recognized for numerous industry achievements, including membership in the Million Dollar Roundtable and Lifetime Council status with New York Life. I actively engage with various community and professional organizations, such as the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), Bath Business Association, and Bath Volunteers for Service. Additionally, I serve as a Political Involvement Leader for New York Life's Northern Ohio office, advocating for policies that benefit both clients and the broader community.
Past affiliations include involvement with the Akron YMCA Camp Y-Noah, Akron Rotary Camp, and the Center for Prevention of Domestic Violence in Cleveland. These experiences have enriched my understanding of diverse needs and perspectives, enabling me to better serve my clients and make a positive impact in the community.
With a commitment to excellence and a passion for empowering others to achieve financial success, I look forward to continuing my service and support as a trusted Financial Advisor.
My career began alongside my father, a respected figure in the Financial Services industry. I had the privilege of working alongside him for more than 20 years. This invaluable experience not only provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the industry but also gave me a deep appreciation for the importance of client-centric values and personalized financial solutions.
I am fortunate to have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of my clients and the broader community. My personalized approach has helped them achieve a myriad of financial objectives, including college funding, retirement planning, long-term care cost management, lifetime income strategies, and wealth management.
I am committed to excellence and client success and have earned recognition within the industry. My professional designations include the Financial Services Certified Professional (FSCP), and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), both earned through the American College. I’m also a proud member of the Million Dollar Roundtable and actively participate in community and professional organizations, including the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA).
Driven by a passion for making a positive impact, I am involved in community initiatives and programs aimed at promoting financial literacy and empowerment. I have served as a board member for Beta Psi Beta, and was a speaker and program contributor for the Women in Financial Transition Program at Cuyahoga Community College, and the Alpha Chi Omega Capstone Leadership Program.
Early on in my first career as Director of Finance for the City of Berea, Ohio, I learned the value of using clear and concise language. After a very long evening City Council meeting to approve the City’s annual budget, I received a call from the newest council member requesting a one-on-one meeting. He appreciated the precise and detailed explanations of public finance, but to him it sounded like an unknown language. In future meetings when possible, I would eliminate confusing Federal, State and Local terms and jargon to explain how a city government operates.
That lesson continues to be present, 37 plus years later, in my current role as a Chartered Financial Consultant. My focus is working with individuals and businesses to plan strategies for wealth accumulation, retirement plans, and foundations for estate planning.
As a volunteer, I have assisted organizations in my community to plan for their future development. Some of my past involvement includes the Brecksville Broadview Heights Schools Foundation, Cuyahoga County Public Library Capital Expansion Committee, Cuyahoga Valley Career Center Levy Campaign, and the Rock N Roll hall of Fame Membership Drive. I currently serve on the Board of Directors for the Emerald Credit Union in Garfield Heights, Ohio and on the Board of Zoning for the City of Broadview Heights, Ohio.
I consider myself fortunate to help make a difference in my clients’ lives, community at large, and am grateful to have met many wonderful people in my career.
